I decided to unveil a new enemy into my Equilibrium game/demo which does not have a name (toss up between SPIDR and SCARAB).
It has 4 legs, 3 eyes, and two blasters to allow deadly accuracy and quick movement throughout the tangle of chutes in Cabertath City.
It still needs texturing and bump mapping, so expect that soon.
If you have any comments on the name, please let me know
I have a few problems that I need assistance with that I can’t quite figure out.
I need to make it so my character is taller and more fit for my level. It could be that I just need to import my ACTUAL character model instead of some generic one.
I keep changing the Pawn.uc values for JumpZ but nothing happens. Now I know the scripts are compiled correctly because my health is now 2000 (which is what I set it to). It may be that I just need to have my own gametype folder with all of the essentials and none of the extra crap that keeps giving me such a fit.
3. 3rd person camera
Now I know there are a few methods of doing this, but I’d like to avoid using an extra camera and use the internal function of behindview1. However, I don’t know how to change it so that is that standard.
If anyone has some useful insight or a link to a tutorial on starting a custom gametype, please link me. Thanks!
This is just a quick blog from my phone to see how this goes through, but while I’m here, I’ll talk about PAX East 2011. It was a very enriching experience and I definitely can’t wait to go next year! However I feel like I missed out on a lot because I mostly stayed on the expo floor gawking at the games and cosplayers. There’s always next year for the talks, right?
Pictures will be posted on a new blog post later this afternoon
I always have a number of great ideas I’d like to share and never a good place to put them. Whether it’s pitches or concept art or story ideas, theres no good way to get it out there which is why I decided to start a blog of my own. I’m a rather large fan of tumblr and it seems very user friendly allowing people to follow easily and tweet about it. So, expect some more in-depth information in the coming days as I collect my thoughts over Spring Break.
